Are your purchases exempt from sales tax in your state?<\/h3>\n

Sales Tax Exemptions<\/strong>
\nOrganizations are issued sales tax exemption certificates on a state-by-state basis that is granted through a state’s application process. Sales tax exemption is typically applied for in each state that an organization has goods and services delivered. For more information about applying for sales tax exemption, you should visit the states sales and use tax website.<\/p>\n

Providing your Certificate to ASM International<\/strong>
\nASM International uses Avalara CertCapture to capture and manage our customer’s exemption certificates.  To provide ASM with your organization’s valid state exemption certificate, please follow this link: CertCapture Express<\/a>. Make sure you have the information you need available based on your state of exemption before beginning the process.  You will not be able to start a certificate, save your progress, and then return at a later time to complete.<\/p>\n

Once you have provided a certificate, ASM’s Finance Department will review and validate the certificate in CertCapture within 1-3 business days. If immediate action is required, please contact our Member Services team. Once validated, your organization’s purchase will be exempt from sales tax within the state(s) provided. If your certificate is rejected, the ASM Finance Department will contact you.
