Both the Student and Emerging Professional candidates should have an interest in the field of heat treating. The HTS Awards &amp; Nominations Committee may consider any HTS member, even those who have served on the HTS Board previously.<\/p><p>Nominations are to be made on the formal nomination form and can be submitted by a chapter, council, committee, or HTS member.<\/p><h4>Nomination Instructions and Forms<\/h4><p><a href=\"https:\/\/cdn-prd-main.asm-media.cloud\/uploads\/sites\/85\/2026\/03\/Instructions_HTS_VPDirector_2026.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Instructions for Board Nominations<\/a><\/p><p><a href=\"https:\/\/cdn-prd-main.asm-media.cloud\/uploads\/sites\/85\/2025\/04\/HTS-nomination-link-for-website.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Candidate Nomination Link Request<\/a><\/p><p><a href=\"https:\/\/cdn-prd-main.asm-media.cloud\/uploads\/sites\/85\/2025\/04\/HTS-nomination-link-for-website.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">EPBM Candidate Nomination Link Request<\/a><\/p><hr \/><h3>HTS Student Board Members<\/h3><p>To be eligible, you must be a Material Advantage undergraduate or graduate student during the academic year of service, studying or researching in an area closely related to the field of heat treating, metallurgy\/materials science.<\/p><p>To apply, submit an application package comprising:<\/p><ol><li>Your current resume\/CV.<\/li><li>A two-page essay (typed and double-spaced, in English) addressing your interest in participating in the program. Please make sure to address the following points:<\/li><\/ol><ul><li>What experiences have led to your interest in this program?<\/li><li>What qualities, characteristics and skills do you possess that will make you a strong candidate to serve as Student Representative to the HTS Board?<\/li><li>What do you hope to learn\/gain from this program?<\/li><\/ul><p>3.
