Retired and LIFE Membership

The Retired and LIFE memberships are available to our members who have transitioned from active work in the materials field but still desire to stay involved and connected with their professional network. These exclusive membership levels are specifically set aside for individuals who have dedicated 10 to 30+ years to the Society.

Retired Membership Eligibility

Retired membership is open to individuals who possess 10 years of continuous ASM membership, are 65 years of age or older, and who are fully retired from their career.

LIFE Membership Eligibility

A LIFE member embodies extensive professional experience both in their field and within ASM. Eligibility for LIFE membership is extended to members aged 65 or older whose age and continuous years of ASM membership equal 100 or more. The designation of LIFE membership is determined by the Society and individuals will be notified when they reach this milestone.
