About the Course:
These test methods cover the determination of the Rockwell hardness and the Rockwell superficial hardness of metallic materials, including test methods for the verification of machines for Rockwell hardness testing and the calibration of standardized hardness test blocks.
Learning Outcomes:
By the end of this course, you will be able to:
- Utilize the Rockwell hardness test to collect important information about metallic materials
- Evaluate of the mechanical properties of various materials
- Identify the correct conditions under which this test is commonly used during material inspection
- Convert the measurement into a hardness number
- Summarize the procedural steps required to determine the Rockwell hardness of metallic materials by the Rockwell indentation hardness principle
