About the Course
Learning Outcomes: This course covers the determination of the Brinell hardness of metallic materials by the Brinell indentation hardness principle. The course provides the requirements for a Brinell testing machine and the procedures for performing Brinell hardness tests.
By the end of this course, you will be able to:
- Apply the Brinell hardness test for quality testing and material selection
- Identify the correct conditions under which this test is commonly used during material inspection
- Calculate the Brinell hardness number
- Summarize the procedural steps required to determine the Brinell hardness of metallic materials by the Brinell indentation hardness principle
