Practical Heat Treating teaches the actual heat treating process or the “how” of heat treating. In this newly revised and updated course, you will learn the heat treatment processes of steels, cast iron, aluminum, and other nonferrous alloys, as well as what type of atmosphere is best for furnace operations for the safety of personnel and equipment. In addition, you will be able to recognize heat treating problems and establish quality control procedures. Personnel either directly or indirectly associated with heat treatment will benefit from attending this 3-day course.

COURSE CANCELLATION: ASM International reserves the right to cancel any class; refunding registration fees, if necessary, without additional financial obligation. In the event it is necessary for ASM to cancel a class, email notification will be sent no less than two weeks prior to the class starting date.
It is highly recommended that non-refundable airline tickets are purchased only after verifying that the class will run as scheduled by contacting the ASM Member Service Center (440.671.3800 or [email protected]). ASM International is not liable for any fees associated with a participant having to reschedule airline reservations due to a course cancellation.
