How to Contribute

International Thermal Spray and Surface Engineering Newsletter (iTSSe)

Advantages to contributing to iTSSe include:

  1. Establish the authoritative reputations of the author and his company/institution.
  2. Disseminate technical information about the company’s products or services in a non-commercial format.
  3. Introduce a targeted audience to new ideas and developments in the thermal spray/surface engineering industries.

Feature articles:

Members or guests are invited to contribute to iTSSe by contributing a feature article. View more information about iTSSe, including the editorial calendar for the year.

Interested authors should contact one of the co-editors or the managing editor. The editor will work with the author to determine the article’s content, length, image requirements, and deadline.

Editorials:

ITSC OR TSS TOPICAL CONFERENCES

Advantages to participating in a TSS event include:

  1. Tremendous opportunity for exposure and recognition by your peers in the field of thermal spray
  2. Opportunity to advance the thermal spray profession by contributing to the bank of knowledge/content from which well-founded decisions can be made
  3. Ability to gain respect of your peers and management
  4. Receive a reduced registration fee
  5. Opportunity to have formal paper published in conference proceedings
  6. Exceptional technical papers will be considered for publication in the Journal for Thermal Spray Technology

Submission Processes

International Thermal Spray Conference ITSC

Online submission process is required. Authors must submit a 150-200 word abstract in English and should include presenting and co-author information (name, title, company affiliation, complete address, phone and fax numbers and e-mail address).

TSS Topical/Symposium

Speakers are solicited by organizers, but authors who are interested can email ASM a 150-200 word abstract for consideration. Email Jeanelle Harden, Event Manager, at [email protected] for more information on participation.

Journal of Thermal Spray Technology (JTST)

As the only English-language, critically reviewed journal reporting on international technology advances in thermal spraying, Journal of Thermal Spray Technology (JTST) is the primary vehicle for thermal spray information transfer. JTST synergizes the best of new research and development efforts with coverage of the latest engineering applications. It publishes contributions on all fundamental and practical aspects of thermal spray science, including processes, feedstock, manufacture, testing, and characterization.

To submit a manuscript to JTST, please view and follow the author instructions.

All manuscripts, including symposia, will be judged by one or two qualified reviewers, assigned by the Editor or an Associate Editor. The review will be conducted against established criteria to determine technical quality. The reviewers each submit a recommendation to the editorial office regarding the merit of the manuscript, but the Editor or Associate Editor provides a final decision on acceptance of the paper for publication.

For more information on submitting a manuscript to JTST, please contact Marc Cibella, production coordinator at [email protected].
