FAS Board of Directors: Call for Nominations
FAS is soliciting nominations for candidates for the FAS Board Directors. Nominations are for one (1) vice-president (one-year term), two (2) board positions (three year term), and one (1) Emerging Professional Board Member (one year term);beginning October 1st. Any member of FAS in good standing is encouraged to nominate themselves or another member for one of these positions. Applications are due March 1st.
Candidates are asked to provide a three-page nomination package to include the candidate’s:
- academic/business biography
- failure analysis background
- FAS and ASM involvement
- vision for the future of FAS
- photograph and contact information
- confirmation of employers support

Service on the FAS Board of Directors involves planning and driving the future strategy of your society. The Board of Directors meets one face to face a year and conducts three teleconference. Board members also provide liaison support to the several FAS Committees which may involve a few additional conference calls.
Candidates are encouraged to insure that they have the support of their employer for this activity.

Seeking Applications for FAS Emerging Professional Board Members
The ASM Failure Analysis Society (FAS) is seeking applicants for one (1) emerging professional board member position. Applicants must be no more than ten (10) years from graduation with an interest in the field of failure analysis. Applications are due March 1st.

The ASM Failure Analysis Society (FAS) is seeking applicants for one (1) student board member position. Students must be a registered undergraduate or graduate during the academic year and must be studying or involved in research in an area closely related to failure analysis. Applications are due April 1.
