ISTFA 2026 is committed to supporting and showcasing the next generation of failure analysis professionals. Through student-focused programming, competitions, and networking opportunities, ISTFA provides a unique platform for community college, undergraduate, and graduate students to connect with industry leaders, present their research, and explore career pathways in failure analysis and related fields.

Student participation plays a vital role in the growth of the failure analysis community, and ISTFA is proud to offer opportunities that celebrate innovation, technical excellence, and academic achievement.

The ISTFA 2026 Student Poster Session will invite students to showcase their research and technical work in a professional conference setting. This competition is designed to foster collaboration between students and the global failure analysis community while providing valuable presentation and networking experience.

Students selected for participation can expect:

  • The opportunity to present their research to industry professionals

  • Access to technical sessions and educational content

  • Direct networking with engineers, scientists, and employers

  • Eligibility for awards and recognition

Final event dates, location details, and on-site logistics will be announced as the ISTFA 2026 program continues to take shape.

Additional poster presentation guidelines will be provided once the contest opens. In general:

  • Students will be expected to bring their completed poster to the conference

  • On-site printing is typically not available

  • Display dimensions, setup times, and judging criteria will be shared closer to the event
