These committees stay on top of technical advances and other areas of member interest. The slate of candidates should include a proper balance of representation on the Board with regard to geographic representation, occupational experience, knowledge of and involvement in FAS, and technical, professional, and business skills. This Committee shall always be chaired by the Immediate Past President and shall consist of four other members.<\/p><p>In addition the A&amp;N Committee is to recommend suitability chosen and properly qualified nominees for the various awards and honors of FAS and ASM.<\/p><p><strong>Staff Liaison:<\/strong>\u00a0<a href=https://www.asminternational.org/fas/wp-json/wp/v2/pages/\"mailto:nicole.hale@asminternational.org/" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Nicole Hale<\/a><\/p><div><a name=\"Education Committee\"><\/a><\/div><p style=\"font-style: normal;line-height: 1.33333em\"><strong style=\"background-color: transparent;font-family: Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif;font-size: 0.9375em\">Education Committee<\/strong><\/p><p style=\"font-style: normal;line-height: 1.33333em\">The purpose of the FAS Education Committee, is to research, develop and support education programs that best respond to the needs of the failure analysis community.<\/p><p style=\"font-style: normal;line-height: 1.33333em\"><strong>Staff Liaison: <a href=https://www.asminternational.org/fas/wp-json/wp/v2/pages/\"mailto:sue.sellers@asminternational.org/">Sue Sellers<\/a><\/strong><\/p><p style=\"font-style: normal;line-height: 1.33333em\"><a name=\"Finance Committee\"><\/a><\/p><p style=\"font-style: normal;line-height: 1.33333em\"><strong>International Relations Committee<\/strong><\/p><p style=\"font-style: normal;line-height: 1.33333em\">The International Relations Committee of FAS is active in two main actions: 1) to seek out and establish contact and collaborations with other associations, individuals and agencies dedicated to the promotion of best practices in failure analysis and prevention worldwide; and 2) to provide support to international members of the society in the organization of events in their area and the creation of local work groups.<\/p><p style=\"font-style: normal;line-height: 1.33333em\"><strong>Staff Liaison:<\/strong>\u00a0<a href=https://www.asminternational.org/fas/wp-json/wp/v2/pages/\"mailto:nicole.hale@asminternational.org/">Nicole Hale<\/a><\/p><p style=\"font-style: normal;line-height: 1.33333em\"><a name=\"JFAP Editorial Committee\"><\/a><\/p><p style=\"font-style: normal;line-height: 1.33333em\"><strong>JFAP Editorial Committee<\/strong><\/p><p style=\"font-style: normal;line-height: 1.33333em\">The Journal of Failure Analysis Editorial Committee shall aid the JFAP editor in manuscript acquisition and peer review in order to present timely, significant, and high-quality reviewed information to subscribers. The Committee shall identify major trends and developments in failure analysis. The Committee shall maintain continual surveillance of the publication for technical quality, current relevance, and fulfillment of stated scope, and shall assist the editor in continual development of the journal to better meet subscriber needs.<\/p><p style=\"font-style: normal;line-height: 1.33333em\"><strong>Staff Liaison:<\/strong>\u00a0<a href=https://www.asminternational.org/fas/wp-json/wp/v2/pages/\"mailto:kate.doman@asminternational.com/" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Kate Doman<\/a><\/p><p style=\"font-style: normal;line-height: 1.33333em\"><a name=\"Membership Outreach Committee\"><\/a><\/p><p style=\"font-style: normal;line-height: 1.33333em\"><strong style=\"font-family: Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif;font-size: 0.9375em;font-style: normal\">Membership Outreach Subcommittee<\/strong><\/p><p style=\"font-style: normal;line-height: 1.33333em\">The duties of the Membership\/Outreach Subcommittee are to develop plans to promote and grow membership among professionals and students and to enhance volunteer engagement.
